영원한 말씀

마태복음 9장18절-26절

예수께서 이 말씀을 하실 때에 한 관리가 와서 절하며 이르되 내 딸이 방금 죽었사오나 오셔서 그 몸에 손을 얹어 주소서 그러면 살아나겠나이다 하니
예수께서 일어나 따라가시매 제자들도 가더니
열두 해 동안이나 혈루증으로 앓는 여자가 예수의 뒤로 와서 그 겉옷 가를 만지니
이는 제 마음에 그 겉옷만 만져도 구원을 받겠다 함이라
예수께서 돌이켜 그를 보시며 이르시되 딸아 안심하라 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였다 하시니 여자가 그 즉시 구원을 받으니라
예수께서 그 관리의 집에 가사 피리 부는 자들과 떠드는 무리를 보시고
이르시되 물러가라 이 소녀가 죽은 것이 아니라 잔다 하시니 그들이 비웃더라
무리를 내보낸 후에 예수께서 들어가사 소녀의 손을 잡으시매 일어나는지라
그 소문이 그 온 땅에 퍼지더라

이 말씀들은 한 사람의 병고침과 한 사람의 다시 살아남을 말하고 있다.
모두 믿음으로 말미암아 기적을 이룬 것이다.
첫번째 이야기의 관리는 마가복음과 누가복음에서는 회당장 야이로라 밝히고 있다. 두 복음서에서는 예수님이 야이로의 집에 가면서 그 딸의 죽음을 듣는 것으로 기록되었지만 이 마태복음에서는 죽은 딸이 예수님의 손길에 의해서 살아날 수 있다고 야이로가 믿고서 예수님께 방문을 요청하는 것으로 되어 있다. 그 방문 길에 유출병을 앓는 여인의 이야기가 나온다.

레위기에 말씀에 따라 유출병을 앓는 여인은 그 여인이 만진 것과 잠 잔 침상까지도 부정한 것으로 여겨 남들 앞에 나설 형편이 되지 않았던 시절의 이야기이다. 그래서 이 여인은 예수님의 옷자락이라도 몰래 만지면 자신의 병이 낫겠다 생각한 것이다. 그 생각이 그가 할 수 있는 최선의 방법이었을 수 있다.
예수님께서는 그 여인의 믿음을 보시고 그의 병을 치유하신 것이다. 그리고 그녀에게 그 것을 확인하여 주셨다.

회당장의 집에 도착했을 때는 이미 장례식 준비가 다 되었던 것 같다. 고대 팔레스타인에서는 장례식때 피리부는 자와 호곡하는 자들을 고용하였다 한다. 실제로 소녀는 죽었던 것이다.
예수님께서는 소녀의 몸에 손을 대시어 그의 영을 다시 그에게로 돌아오게 하신 것이다. 이 또한, 그 소녀 아버지의 예수님께 대한 믿음이 그의 딸을 살린 것이다.

예수님께서는 자신을 믿는 자들에게 반드시 상을 주신다.
  

NIV  While he was saying this, a ruler came and knelt before him and said, "My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live." Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples. Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed." Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment. When Jesus entered the ruler's house and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd, he said, "Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep." But they laughed at him. After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. News of this spread through all that region.

KJB  While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples. And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman made whole from that hour. And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise, He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but asleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.
