영원한 말씀

예수님께서 "너희 의가 서기관들이나 바리새인들보다 낫지 못하면 천국에 들지 못하리라" 하신 말씀에 뒤이어 구약에서 나오는 십계명을 설명하셨다.

'살인하지 말라'라는 계명은 여섯번째 계명으로서 다른 사람의 목숨을 빼앗지 말라는 것이다. 물론 중죄이고 심판을 받을 것이다. 예수님께서는 이 계명을 '분노'로 인해 발생하는 것으로 말씀하시고 계신다. 형제나 이웃을 노하게 하거나 미워하는 것은 이유가 있건 없건 분노를 키우고 급기야는 목숨까지 빼앗는 결과로 나타난다고 말씀하시는 것이 아닐까.

예수님은 마음 속에 있는 형제에 대한 미움을 세가지 타입으로 세분하셨다. 형제에게 노하는 자, 형제를 라가라 하는 자, 형제를 미련한 놈이라고 욕하는 자이다. 어느 경우든 형제를 마음으로 멸시하고 업신여기며 존중하지 않는 모습이다. 사소한 마음 속의 미워하는 마음이 모두 정죄의 대상이라는 것이다.

심지어 하나님께 바치는 예물보다 형제에게 화해를 구하는 것이 먼저라고 말씀하시고 금전적인 다툼이 있는 타인까지도 문제를 해결하여야 한다고 가르치고 있다.

일전에 유튜브에서 본 동영상에서 죽음을 체험한 어떤 사람이 지옥으로 끌려 가기전 다른 사람들에 대한 모든 미움과 잘못을 용서하였더니 지옥행을 면하였다는 것을 본 기억이 있다. 물론 그 사람은 죽음 체험으로 끝나서 이 세상에서 간증을 하였지만 예수님께서 말씀하셨듯이 형제를 미련한 놈, 바보라고 미워한 결과가 지옥불의 형벌이라는 것은 천국문이 얼마나 좁은지를 말해주고 있는듯하다.

예수님은 사람들과 화해할 수 있을때 반드시 화해하라고 말씀하신다. 예수님은 "한푼이라도" 갚을 것이 있다면 결코 옥에서 빠져나올 수 없으리라고 말씀하신다.

NIV  You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' But I tell you that anyone  who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell. Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift. "Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still with him on the way, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. I tell you the truth, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.

KJB  Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shall not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
